In its constant quest to offer consumers varied taste experiences, the discovery of the Ile de Ré vineyards enabled CAMUS to create the CAMUS ILE DE RE FINE ISLAND COGNAC range.
This island, located in the far west of the Cognac appellation region, offers inimitable eaux-de-vie with a marine character, tempered with fruity notes and an incredible roundness. Ré Island Fine Island Double Matured Powerful Cognac with a unique character.
After the island's vinification and distillation, this cognac benefits from a unique aging process that is divided into two distinct phases.
It ages first in traditional barrels in the cellars of the Ile de Ré cooperative, then it is refined in red barrels (barrels of 5 or 6 years old having already yielded their tannin) specific having undergone a second burning according to a method kept secret by our cellar master.
