At the Crillon Hotel, cognac to shine shoes
Cognac frosting. Who knows?
Maybe that’s the ultimate in luxury. On Wednesday evening on M6, “Zone interdite” broadcast a report on Crillon’s hotel in Paris. We followed an American couple in their discovery of the famous palace on Place de la Concorde. From its superbly decorated suite to the gastro restaurant and the “beauty salon for shoes”. That’s right! The gentleman appreciated having his shoes waxed. He could have been: the session ended with an “iconic icing with Delamain cognac”. A drop of brandy to polish the shoes. It was the first time he saw this and so were we. However, history does not tell whether it was a VS or an XO.
