Charentes Alliance buys the Jarnac trading house A.E. DOR
The Charentes Alliance cooperative has just confirmed this: it has finalised the acquisition of the Jarnac cognac house AE DOR. A.E. DOR has a turnover of six million euros and seven employees.
This house was founded in 1858 by Jean-Baptiste Dor. The current manager of the company, Pierre-Antoine Rivière, will be the director of the company, now a subsidiary of the group.
According to Charentes Alliance, "this operation strengthens our wine sector, which includes 1450 winegrowers, including 300 contributors under contract with the cooperative, 4 cooperative cellars, 28 consulting technicians, 1 distillery, storage cellars and Unicognac, our subsidiary for bottling and marketing wines, pineau and cognac, near Jonzac".
